Taiwan Rice Gains Attention in Japan as Domestic Rice Prices Rise
Taiwan rice is drawing increasing attention in Japan as domestic rice prices continue to climb.
According to a recent Yahoo Japan news report, the price of Japanese rice has significantly increased compared to previous years. While 5kg of Japanese rice previously cost around 2,000 yen, recent prices have risen to approximately 4,300 yen in some areas.
Amid these price increases, Taiwanese rice products are gaining popularity among Japanese consumers. A 5kg pack of Taiwanese rice priced at approximately 3,480 yen has attracted attention for its competitive pricing, appealing packaging design, and taste quality.
Some Japanese consumers have commented that Taiwanese rice has a texture and flavor similar to Japanese-grown rice, making it an attractive alternative during periods of high domestic prices.
As international demand continues to grow, Taiwan rice producers are committed to maintaining high quality standards while expanding into overseas markets.
